Whatever you do, as a
small business owner, please do
not get a "free" site or make
one from a template like 1000
other sites. You
immediately lose points with
your clients, the search engines
and ultimately, your business.
Your web site should make you
money, so don't scrimp here.
It doesn't have to be expensive
to be effective and creative.
Work with me and
I'll help you get there without
breaking the bank!
To make your
website successful, I'll want to understand your "big
picture", so I'll be discussing these ideas with you.
1. You and/or your
Company
- what do you do? Are you a sole proprietor, a
corporation, a non-profit? How long have you been in business?
Do you have employees and who are your customers? Is this a
family business?
2. The
Purpose
of your website - is it an online brochure, an image presence, or do you
wish to sell a product or service, gather opinions, start a discussion
group, or share personal business and photos with family members?
3. Your
Promotion
plans - do you plan to promote your site on the web?
4. Your
maintenance plans. Do you plan to do it yourself;
if so are you using an HTML editor?
5. Your
desired results - do you want visitors to call, sign
up for a newsletter, take a survey, become more familiar with
your company, buy something?
Once I know the strategy for your site, I will put it into action.
